Assistant coach Amy Renault returns for her fifth year as a member of the RSU coaching staff.

The Claremore, Okla. native returned home to begin her coaching career with the Hillcats in 2009.

In her four years as assistant to Mark Dicus’ the Hillcats have compiled a 135-101 record. The 2012 season marked the best record since her time as an assistant coach on the Hill as RSU finished with a 36-23 record. Seven infielders have been named to the All-Sooner Athletic Conference team while two infielders earned All-Conference Gold Glove recognition under her guidance.

Renault completed a standout playing career at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma in 2008.She earned all-conference honors in softball at Connors State College before finishing her career at USAO.

In 2010, she completed her Master’s in Sports Administration at East Central University and assumed teaching duties in RSU’s Sport Management program.

Renault’s primary duties for the Hillcat softball program include working with the infielders, coaching first base, and serves as recruiting and scouting coordinator.
