Dawn Tatro has been a mainstay in the administration for Rogers State athletics and was elevated to Senior Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator in August 2024, after holding a variety of roles since joining the athletic department in August 2008. Tatro is the longest-serving member of the RSU athletic department administrative staff.Â
In her current role, she spearheads all aspects of compliance for RSU’s 14 intercollegiate programs, ensuring compliance related to the NCAA, MIAA, and RSU institutional rules. Her duties include oversight of eligibility certification, monitoring methods and procedures in the athletic department, and rules education initiatives for coaches and staff. She is also responsible for overseeing academics, providing academic advisement for the nearly 250 student-athletes. Tatro in her role as senior woman administrator monitors RSU athletics’ efforts to comply with Title IX and gender equity principles, while also serving on the athletic department’s executive team. Additionally, she also has oversight over the athletic communications team and the department's community outreach efforts.
Tatro currently serves on the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer National Committee, is the co-chair of the Super Region 3 Men’s Soccer RAC, is a member of the RSU Staff Advisory Council, the RSU Alumni Association Board of Directors, the RSU TARC and BIT teams, and serves on the Children’s Advocacy Center’s Board of Directors in Claremore.
Tatro was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance & Academics in August 2017 after the retirement of Senior Associate Athletic Director Eddie Jackson. She has served in a variety of roles in the athletic department including Assistant Athletic Director for Student Development, Director of Athletic Business Operations, and Executive Assistant to the Director of Athletics. Tatro started her career at Rogers State in March 2007 as the Administrative Assistant for RSU Public Television and also held that same position for four years when first joining the athletic staff in 2008.
Tatro came to RSU from Williams, Arizona where she had a 20-year career as a legal secretary. Tatro graduated from Rogers State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership in 2014 and earned a Master of Science degree in College Athletic Administration from Coker College in 2016.
