ALVA, Okla. - After suffering its first loss in nearly a month on Saturday night, Rogers State responded with a 3-0 drubbing of Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva on Monday afternoon.

The Hillcats, who fell 1-0 to No. 17 Oklahoma City in overtime over the weekend, bounced back in fine fashion with their sixth conference win. Tiffany Roberts scored the first goal of the match with five minutes remaining in the first half on an assist from JoAnna Petty. Vanessa Oxford added a goal five minutes into the second period to make it 2-0.

Robin Sutherland, the four-time reigning Sooner Athletic Conference offensive player of the week, put the game on ice with the third and final goal in the 78th minute. Goal Keeper Bailey Lynn had four saves in preserving the shutout for the Hillcats.
