CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State led 1-0 at the half but settled for a 2-2 tie with St. Gregory's in men's soccer action at Soldier Field on Tuesday.

Freshman Jaime Perez gave the Cats a 1-0 lead on an assist from Shemord Thompson late in the first half. The Cavaliers drew even with a goal at 25:19 in the second half. The Hillcats were unable to cash in on several big scoring chances before Bryce Taylor finally broke the tie with a goal at the 11:52 mark. However, St. Gregory's answered right back as Antonio Ycaza scored his second goal of the match three minutes later.

The two teams battled through two scoreless overtime periods before settling for the 2-2 tie. The RSU men are now 3-1-2 on the season and will travel to Ottawa University on Friday. The Hillcats will return home on Saturday for a 4 p.m. match with Southwestern Kansas at Soldier Field.
