CLAREMORE, Okla. - Fifth-ranked Oklahoma City scored two late goals and spoiled Rogers State's upset bid as the Stars escaped with a 2-1 victory at Soldier Field in Claremore, Okla., Saturday night.

Freshman Henrique Sousa's goal in the 70th minute put the Hillcats in position for the win with OCU playing a man down and trailing 1-0. However, John Dill tied the match less than two minutes later on a direct kick from just outside the box. Damian Ellis delivered the game winning goal for the Stars in the 80th minute on a cross from Luke Garvey.

RSU was unable to muster another attack and suffered its second consecutive conference loss. The Stars outshot the Hillcats 13-4 in the match.

Rogers State (7-3-1, 1-2) moved to seventh place in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings after the loss while Oklahoma City (11-1, 3-0) remains in first. The Hillcats will host Mid-America Christian in another conference match Tuesday evening at Soldier Field. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
