CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State and Columbia College (Mo.) battled to a 1-1 tie in a non-conference match at Soldier Field Sunday afternoon.

Dylan Barduzzi put the visiting Cougars in front with a goal in the 28th minute of the first half. RSU freshman Henrique Sousa answered when he booted home a score just a minute and a half later to knot the match at 1-1.

The teams battled through a physical second half and two overtime periods before settling for a draw. Columbia posted nine shots on goal compared with just two for the Hillcats. Sophomore goalie Sean Surridge preserved the tie for RSU with eight saves between the posts.

Rogers State (8-4-3) returns to conference play Wednesday evening when the Cats host John Brown in the final regular season home match of the season. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
