Crimson Storm Blows Past RSU Women, 2-0

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Southern Nazarene stormed into Claremore and rained on Rogers State?s Senior Night celebration with a 2-0 victory over the Hillcats Friday night at Soldier Field.
 

Beatriz Silva gave the Crimson Storm a 1-0 lead with a rebound goal late in the first half. SNU continued to attack and finally broke through for a second goal in the 87th minute when Jackie Acevedo found the back of the net on an assist from Rachel Eguren.
 

The Storm posted 15 shots on goal and outshot the Hillcats, 23-10 in the match. Keeper Erica Brown picked up five saves to earn the shutout for SNU. RSU goalie Bailey Lynn did her best to keep the margin close as she tied a team-record with 13 saves.
 

Rogers State (11-6, 4-5) remains in sixth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings with one regular season match remaining. The Hillcats will host Northwestern Oklahoma State Tuesday afternoon at Soldier Field. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
