Hillcats Bounce Lady Bison from SAC Tournament, 1-0

SHAWNEE, Okla. - Rogers State avenged a regular season loss to Oklahoma Baptist and advanced to semifinals of the Sooner Athletic Conference Soccer Tournament with a 1-0 victory Saturday afternoon in Shawnee, Okla.

Sophomore Abby Rickner drilled home the only goal of the match from forty yards out in the 29th minute to give the Hillcats the lead. For Rickner, it was the first goal of her career and it couldn't have come at a better time. RSU goalie Bailey Lynn did the rest. Lynn posted 10 of her 12 saves in the second half to preserve the shutout.

"Bailey was outstanding for us today," Head Coach Derek Larkin said following the match. "I'm really glad we were able to hang on and keep the season going."

OBU outshot the Hillcats, 21-7 and posted 12 shots on goal in the match. Sarah Robinson recorded three saves in the loss for the Lady Bison.

Rogers State (13-6) advances to play Southern Nazarene in a semifinal match Tuesday afternoon in Bethany, Okla. The match is slated for 2 p.m.
