CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State closed out a three-game sweep over Paul Quinn College (Dallas, Texas) by taking both games of Tuesday's doubleheader at the Hillcat Complex.

The Hillcats won both games by a score of 13-3. Blake Kelley and Zach Hamby belted home runs in the first game while Joe Manbodh went deep in the nightcap. RSU cranked out 20 hits on the afternoon and outscored the Tigers 39-9 in the series.
GAME ONE

Hamby ripped a two-run homer down the left field line as part of a five-run first inning for the Hillcats. Kelley added a three-run shot in the fifth inning and the Cats reached the run-rule when Brandon Denton chased home two runners with a double in the sixth.

Josh Walker (2-1) earned the win with four innings of work. He finished with four walks and four strikeouts and gave up just two hits on the afternoon. Joe Hardzog tossed the final two innings for RSU and yielded one run on two hits.

Kelley and Coby Wright tallied three hits apiece for RSU. Wright scored three times while Kelley posted four RBI.
GAME TWO

The Hillcats went right back to work in the nightcap by scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Andy Gonell and Hamby cranked doubles to start the inning and Manbodh hammered a three-run homer over the center field wall.

RSU scored seven more runs in the third inning with the help of three errors by Paul Quinn. Gonell and Hamby both notched two-run singles in the frame. The duo combined for six hits and five RBI in the contest. Manbodh added a career-high five RBI.

Randy Jones (1-1) earned his first win of the season with four innings of work. He dominated the Tigers through the first three frames, striking out seven against just one hit. Two walks and two errors led to three unearned runs for Paul Quinn in the fourth. Jake Taylor tossed a scoreless fifth inning to secure the run-rule victory.

Rogers State (13-9) improved to 13-5 at home this season with the doubleheader sweep. The Hillcats will welcome St. Gregory's to the Hillcat Complex for the first game of a conference series on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
