Men's Soccer Falls in Double Overtime, 2-1

CHICKASHA, Okla. - The Rogers State men's soccer team fell 2-1 to the University of Science and Arts in the 108th minute at Drover Field on Saturday afternoon.

Scott Parkinson netted the game winning goal after a scramble in the box in double overtime.

The Hillcats recorded its only goal early. Just 14 seconds into the match Sergio Guerra dribbled down the line and sent a cross into the box for Trent Baker who fired the ball past USAO Ryan Mcentee.

RSU held onto the 1-0 advantage until the 78th minute. Nicolas Alberto dribbled down the right side and crossed the ball to the middle of the box to Nikola Cakarevic who trapped it and put a shot past Hillcat goalkeeper Sean Surridge.

Surridge made nine saves on the afternoon while allowing two goals.

RSU (10-4-2, 4-3-1 SAC) returns to Soldier Field on Tuesday, Oct. 26 as they close out their regular season home slate against Oklahoma Christian at 7 p.m.
