BETHANY, Okla. - The Rogers State men's soccer team kept their winning streak alive on Tuesday night, winning their seventh straight over Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Southern Nazarene University, 1-0 at Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex.
Senior Sergio Guerra's goal in the 23rd minute was the difference as the Hillcats open conference play with a win. Guerra drilled a penalty kick past SNU goalkeeper Kenton Farris. The goal was the Santa Cruz, Bolivia native's second game-winner of the year and fourth goal of the season.
Senior goalkeeper Sean Surridge picked up the shutout victory in goal for RSU, making three saves.
The Hillcats (7-1-1, 1-0-0 SAC) look to continue their winning streak on Friday, Oct. 1 as they travel to Wayland Baptist University. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
