BETHANY, Okla. - The Rogers State men's soccer team got back on track Tuesday night as they earned a 1-0 victory over Sooner Athletic Conference opponent Southern Nazarene in Bethany.
The lone goal in the contest was an own goal headed into the net by a SNU defender in the 11th minute of the game.
The Hillcats pounded the goal with22 shots in the game and put nine on frame but Crimson Storm goalkeeper Blake Anderson kept the game close making eight saves.
Jeremy Swift registered the win in goal for the Cats. The freshman made three saves to secure RSU's first conference win of the season.
Rogers State (6-4, 1-2) will return to the pitch on Friday as they host Oklahoma City University at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast live at www.rsuhillcats.com/live.
