MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Rogers State women's basketball team suffered a 62-44 loss at Northwest Missouri State on Saturday afternoon at Bearcat Arena.

The Hillcats and the Bearcats traded buckets to start the second stanza with the Hillcats looking to cut into the deficit suffered in the first stanza. RSU used a 7-0 run to cut the Bearcat lead to 50-38 with less than seven minutes to play. The Bearcats outscored the Hillcats 12-6 over the final six minutes to secure the non-conference victory.

The Bearcats opened the game with a 5-0 advantage before
Kami Bunch put the Cats on the board with a three-pointer. Northwest answered with an 11-3 stint to take its first double-digit lead at 16-6 with 10 minutes to play in the first frame. The Bearcats held onto the double-digit lead, taking a 33-16 advantage into the locker room.

Jalissa Felici was the lone Hillcat to finish with double digits offensively scoring 10 points. Ariel Easton led the Bearcats with 18 points.
