Final Results

FORT SILLS, Okla. – The Rogers State women's golf team finished in second place at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Oct. 18) at Fort Sills Golf Course. In the second round today, the Hillcats shot a team score of 301 to go with yesterday's 293 for a 36-hole score of 594.
 
Senior Mica Eastin matched her own school record of 3-under-par 69 in the second round to move up from fifth place to alone in second place. She shot an even-par 72 in the first round to total a score of 3-under-par 141. The senior from Carrollton, Texas finished with seven birdies in her 36 holes. Eastin was the best in the field on par 4s with a score of 3-under-par.
 
Sophomore Stirling Phillips carded a 7-over-par 79 in the second round to finish in 13th place. She started with a 2-under-par 70 in the first round to total a score of 5-over-par 149. The native of San Antonio, Texas totaled four birdies.
 
Senior Kina Boone posted a score of 2-over-par 74 in the final round today. It went with her 4-over-par 76 in the first round for a score of 6-over-par 150 and a 17th place finish.
 
Freshman Sydney Murray and Elizabeth McCloskey each tied for 30th at 11-over-par 155. In the second round, Murray tallied a 7-over-par 79 to go with her first round score of 4-over-par 76 for the total score of 155. McCloskey registered an 8-over-par 80 today in the final round. She shot a 3-over-par 75 yesterday for the total of 155.
 
Oklahoma Christian won the event with a two-round total of 582. OC's Kate Goodwin was the individual champion at 4-under-par 140 after firing a 7-under-par 65 in the first round. She shot a 3-over-par 75 today to win by one shot over Eastin.
 
The Oklahoma Intercollegiate is the final event of the fall for the RSU women's golf team.
