CLAREMORE, Okla. – Lubbock Christian swept Monday's doubleheader with Rogers State softball, 11-3 and 12-3, at the Diamond Sports Complex to sweep the season series.

GAME ONE

LCU used a pair of Katera Eltsosie grand slams in the fifth and sixth innings to claim the 11-3 six-inning victory in game one.

The Lady Chaps tallied six runs in the fifth inning on four hits including a two-out grand slam by Eltsosie to take a 5-3 lead. Addison Ard sent one over the left field fence on the very next at-bat to push the lead to 6-3 in favor of LCU.

LCU pushed the lead to 11-3 in the sixth on Eltsosie's fourth home run of the season with a grand slam to left-centerfield.

The Hillcats built a 2-0 advantage in the first inning following a two RBI single to shallow right field by Taylor Santistevan scored Harli Wheeler and Kenzi Lloyd.

RSU tacked on another run in the third as Lloyd singled to third. The RSU freshman then moved to third on a single by Morgen Blanchard down the leftfield line. Coach Andrea Vaughan called for a double steal and Lloyd reached home as Blanchard was caught stealing second as the Hillcats led 3-0 through three innings.

Sydney Beuthien hit one off the top of the fence to dead centerfield in the second inning for a home run and a 5-0 LCU advantage. A lead-off walk by Ard in the third inning led to a sacrifice fly by Logan Grado to score Ard as the Lady Chaps lead ballooned to 6-0.

The Hillcats responded in the home half of the inning with a solo home run by Courtney Davis, her first of the season, on a pinch hit opportunity. Lloyd drew a walk and moved to third on a single by Blanchard, who moved to second on the throw trying to get Lloyd at third, to put runners in scoring position.
