CANYON, Texas – The Rogers State men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss at West Texas A&M on Saturday (Sept. 22) at The Pitch in the final contest of a four-game road trip to start Heartland Conference play.
The Buffs (6-1-1, 3-1 Heartland) gained a 1-0 advantage right before halftime when Marius Longeanie scored his first goal of the season in the 39th minute with Harry McGrath getting the assist.
Right after the halftime break, WT extended the margin to 2-0 in the 53rd minute on a header from McGrath off a corner kick from Lucca Lima.
The final two tallies came late in the contest for the Buffs. Julio Vargas scored after a cross by McGrath for a 3-0 score in the 77th minute, and Ivan Ulloa made it 4-0 with a goal in the 87th minute. The game was called early after 88 minutes do to an injury.
For the game, WT held a 24-9 advantage in shots, including an 11-2 margin in shots on goal.
Cairo Allen led RSU with three shots, and
Jordan Watson added two shots and one shot on target.

Chase Coy made a career-high seven saves in his fourth start in his career in the navy and red. He dropped to 2-2 in goal this season.
