CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State Women's Basketball team fell to Missouri Southern State University 75-56 on Saturday at the Claremore Expo Center.
 
In a tight game, Missouri Southern went on 19-0 run in the third quarter that would solidify their lead for the game.
 
The Lions would have a lead as large as 35 points early in the fourth quarter. The Hillcats would fight back going on a 12-0 run late in the fourth quarter, but the lead built up by the Lions was too much to overcome.
 
Sophomore 
Samariah Thompson would lead the Hillcats in points with 12 for the game. She was the only Hillcat to score in double figures. Juniors Lily Garner and 
Katrina Christian would be the next highest scorers for the Hillcats, with eight points each.
 
Senior 
Darian Jackson would lead the team in rebounds with eight for the game. Jackson would also have four points.
 
Senior 
Alicia Brown and Freshman 
Bailey Kliewer would each collect three steals in the game.
 
Missouri Southern would have four of their five starters score in double digits. The Lions shot 43 percent from the field and 47 percent from three-point range.
 
The Hillcats would shoot 30 percent from the field and 28 percent from three-point range for the game.
 
The Hillcats would also go to the line just 11 times in the game, converting seven free throws. Missouri Southern was 26-for-35 from the free-throw line.
 
This game ends the Hillcats four game home stretch. The team will travel to Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, November 30 to play Rockhurst University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
