Alfred Thomas has been selected to the 2019 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, announced the NCAA Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas has qualified to participate in the Men's 200-meter Dash, seeded sixth out of 16 competitors to earn qualification.
The Florence, Mississippi native ran a 21.52 to finish fourth at the 4th Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kansas and is coming off of the Great American Conference Championship in the 200-meter Dash with a 21.66 in Norman, Oklahoma. The converted time for the track sets an NCAA DII Provisional time of 21.28.
Thomas will get to go back to the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas, where he set the qualifying time, as it is the host for the National Championships, which will be held on March 8 and 9.
