Women's Soccer Announces 2019 Schedule

CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Women's Soccer and head coach Yolanda Thomas have announced the season schedule for 2019.
 
The Hillcats will have 18 regular season games this fall, as the program will begin its first season as members of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.
 
Rogers State will open up its season with a trip west to Dixie State in St. George, Utah for a pair of neutral site contests. The Hillcats will open the season on September 5 against Seattle Pacific in the first meeting between the two institutions in any sport in head-to-head competition. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
 
The Hillcats will then face another first-time opponent for Rogers State when they take on Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, September 7 at 11 a.m.
 
Following a pair of non-conference road games at Texas Woman's and Southern Nazarene, the Hillcats will take on Newman in Rogers State's home opener on September 20. The kickoff against the Jets, which will be the first of three non-conference games against MIAA opposition, will be at 6 p.m. at Soldier Field.
 
The Hillcats will then host Northeastern State at home on September 22 for a 2 p.m. kickoff before closing out non-conference play on the road at Central Oklahoma on September 27.
 
Rogers State's MIAA debut will come against Newman on September 29, as the Hillcats will travel to Wichita, Kansas for a 2 p.m. kick off.
 
The Hillcats will then host four straight MIAA games over the first two Fridays and Sundays in October with matchups against Missouri Southern, Central Missouri, Emporia State and Washburn at Soldier Field. The games are slated for 6 p.m. starts on Friday and 2 p.m. starts on Sunday.
 
Following the homestand, RSU will be away from Claremore for five-straight MIAA games, traveling to schools in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma as the Hillcats face Northwest Missouri State, Missouri Western, Fort Hays State, Nebraska – Kearney, and Northeastern State.
 
Rogers State will close out the regular season on November 3, taking on Central Oklahoma for senior day at Soldier Field.
 
The MIAA Quarterfinals will be held on November 8, with the semifinals and championship slated for November 15 and 17.
