CLAREMORE, Okla. – Basketball season is officially back on the Hill on Thursday, November 19, as the Rogers State men's and women's basketball teams welcome in Missouri Western to the Claremore Expo Center to open the 2020-21 season.
With the upcoming season falling during the COVID-19 Pandemic, there are several changes to the traditional basketball game day for Rogers State.
Most notably, the Claremore Expo Center will be limited capacity in 2020-21, as just 25 percent of the normal capacity is permitted to attend to allow for proper social distancing. The normal capacity of 1740 will be trimmed to 435 for the 11 home games this season.
Season tickets and single-game tickets are still available but in limited quantities for the remainder of the season. Ticket information can be found at rsuhillcats.com/tickets. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets through the online portal in advance of the game day. Tickets are not guaranteed for walkup customers on game day.
Single-game tickets can be purchased beginning on Monday of the game week. Tickets for Thursday's season opener and Saturday's game against No.1 Northwest Missouri have already been sold out.
For fans attending the game, there will be other notable changes. Masks are required for fans and must be worn over nose and mouth unless eating or drinking. Fans are required to sit in the seat designated on their ticket to ensure a social distance from other fans. Fans are also not permitted to rearrange their seats.
Fans will not be permitted on the court for any reason and must follow instructions around the court and stay behind stanchions.
Upon entering the Claremore Expo Center, every fan must have their temperature checked. Fans are also encouraged to take advantage of the hand sanitizers throughout the facility.
