CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State women's soccer (6-6-1, 1-5 MIAA) fell to Northwest Missouri State (8-4-1, 4-1-1 MIAA) in a 3-0 decision on Friday.
The Bearcats came out the gate hot as they wasted no time getting on the board in 10th minute to take the early 1-0 lead. Even though they out shot the Hillcats 14-2 in half, RSU managed to keep them off the board for remainder of the period with goalkeeper Savannah Harvey logging three of her five saves for the match. NWMSU took the 1-0 advantage into the intermission.
In the final 45 minutes the play leveled out somewhat as the Bearcats only out shot RSU 9-6. However, NWMSU would net their second goal in the 63rd minute and sink their final goal in the 77th minute to seal the 3-0 win.
The Hillcats will be back in action at Soldier Field on Sunday, Oct. 17 as they face off against Missouri Western. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m.
