KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Rogers State men's soccer team continues to climb in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, being ranked No. 8 in the latest poll, announced the organization Tuesday afternoon.
After debuting at No. 23 following a 1-0 season opening win at Newman, the Hillcats have remained undefeated, improving to 4-0-0 with key wins over No. 20 Northeastern State 4-1 and at Southern Nazarene 1-0. The Hillcats also went on the road to defeat Ouachita Baptist.
The Hillcats jumped 15 places for the second poll of the 2021 spring season, the highest jump of any program that was previously ranked in the top 25 poll. Rogers State is the only Great American Conference school in the top 25, with Northeastern State and Fort Hays State both receiving votes.
Rogers State has become a familiar name in the top 25. Last season, the Hillcats were ranked as high as No. 15 in the poll and spent a majority of the season in the top 25 before finishing the season ranked No. 22 after a GAC Tournament Championship.
Rogers State is set to return to action on Saturday, as the Hillcats welcome in Harding to Soldier Field for a key GAC matchup.
