CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State baseball team fell on day one of the three-game series against conference opponent Pittsburgh State University 3-1 on Friday at the Diamond Sports Complex.

How It Happened
- Rogers State would go hitless until the fourth inning, where Preston Horn and Brandon Bradshaw both had singles.
- However, the Hillcats would be retired in the inning without having a run after being tagged out at the plate.
- The Gorillas would strike first in the sixth inning after an RSU throwing error with two outs allowed for the opening run of the game.
- The Gorillas would extend their lead in the top of the ninth after a two-RBI double would lead to a pair of runs.
- The Hillcats would record their first hit since the fifth inning in the ninth inning, coming from Jonathan Soto. Soto's single brought around Brandon Bradshaw, who led off the inning with a walk.

- Bradshaw went 1-for-3 with a run and a walk.
- Soto went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
- Simmonsgaard picked up his third loss this season. He had allowed one unearned run on four hits and had five strikeouts.
