CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Athletics added a pair of graduate assistants and an athletic training intern to the department for the 2021-22 school year.

Mariana Flores will serve as the Graduate Assistant for Student Development and Mark Davis will serve as the Graduate Assistant for Digital Media and Communications. Brianna Brooks will serve as the Athletic Training Intern.

Flores spent five years as a RSU women's golf student-athlete and graduated in May Cum Laude with a double major in Social Science, Psychology option and Sports Management, Fitness option while also obtaining a minor in Sociology. She was a mainstay on the women's golf team, playing in 43 tournaments during her tenure at RSU, helping the Hillcats secure the team's first-ever trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament last spring. As the Graduate Assistant for Student Development, Flores will help foster the total growth and development of RSU's student-athletes through Personal Development, Career Development, Community Service and Leadership Development.

Davis spent two years on the game day student staff for RSU athletics and graduated Cum Laude in May with a bachelor's of science in Sport Management. Along with his stint as a student worker and intern for the RSU Athletics Department, he did internships with FC Tulsa and Fortuna Tulsa. As the Graduate Assistant for Digital Media and Communications, Davis will help tell the story of Hillcat student-athletes and the athletic department.

Brooks comes to RSU on the heels of completing her master's degree in Athletic Training at the University of Tulsa in May. While at Tulsa as an undergraduate and graduate student, Brooks amassed a wide variety of clinical experience working with the Hurricane football team, Oral Roberts basketball team and the Big IX Wrestling Tournament. She also has experience in professional sports, working with FC Tulsa as an athletic training student and the Oklahoma City Thunder as a game day intern. She also worked at Union High School in Tulsa as a clinical athletic training student. Brooks will work with women's soccer and women's basketball during her time at RSU.

Rogers State athletics kicks off the 2021-2022 campaign with a women's and men's soccer doubleheader at Soldier Field on September 2.
