CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) announced its Academic Achievement Award recipients for the 2025-26 academic year on Wednesday. A total of 83 student-athletes from Rogers State University were honored.
Leading the group were 17 recipients from the women's soccer team, contributing to the Hillcats' achievement of more than 80 Academic Achievement Awards for the second consecutive year. This year's total of 83 marks the second-highest in the program's history, just six short of last year's record of 89 recipients.
Now in its 19th year, the Academic Achievement Awards program recognizes the academic excellence of student-athletes at the Division II level. The MIAA conference is among the most esteemed, with a total of 1,254 student-athletes meeting the eligibility criteria for the 2025-26 academic year.
To qualify for this honor, the student-athlete must have:
- a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work
- have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year
Overall, a total of 21,000-plus student-athletes were recognized from 179 institutions for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards. Historically, 211,256 total student-athletes have been recognized since the inception of the awards program.
