CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Athletics announced the addition of
Jake Hudspeth as an assistant athletic director for communications. Hudspeth brings with him nearly a decade of experience in athletic communications.

Hudspeth arrives in Claremore after three years as the sports information director at Texas A&M International. At TAMIU, he served as the primary communications contact for all 12 sports and helped guide the Dustdevils in their transition from the Heartland Conference to the Lone Star Conference in 2019. In 2021, he was elected by his fellow SIDs as the Vice Chair of the LSC Sports Information Committee.

Hudspeth previously spent time as the sports information director at Life University in Marietta, Ga.

Before arriving at LU, Hudspeth spent time at NCAA Division I New Mexico State where he served as the assistant director of athletic media relations. At NM State, he worked as the communications contact for the volleyball, baseball, swimming and diving, cross country, and track and field programs. He also served as the secondary communications contact for the football and men's basketball programs.

Hudspeth also spent a season in professional baseball as the media relations assistant for the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A Affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

He got his start in collegiate athletics as a graduate intern at his alma mater, Mississippi State, working with the nationally recognized football and baseball programs as well as being a part of the inaugural in-house production crew for the SEC Network.

A native of Tupelo, Miss., Hudspeth earned his master's degree from Liberty University and holds a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State.
