CLAREMORE, Okla. – Six Rogers State men's soccer student-athletes were selected for the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Grant King,
Sebastian Hernandez,
Donal Rahill,
George Robinson,
Matthew Sweetman and
Trindon Turner represented the Hillcats on the list.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
To be nominated for the award, student-athletes must be a starter or an important reserve, hold a GPA of at least 3.30 after completing one full calendar year at their current institution. Student-athletes must also have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's games during the season.
A native of Tulsa, Okla.,
Grant King earned his first CSC Academic All-District Honor. King is majoring in business management and started in all 20 games this season with four goals and three assists. He earned D2CCA Second Team All-Central Region and Honorable Mention All-GAC/MIAA honors for his performance.
This is
Sebastian Hernandez's second-straight CSC Academic All-District honor. The Broken Arrow, Okla. product is majoring in pre-physical therapy and played and started in 19 games this season anchoring the Hillcat backline that put together eight shutouts. He is a D2CCA First Team All-District and First Team All-GAC/MIAA selection.
Donal Rahill, a native of Ardee, Ireland, earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor. Rahill is majoring in pre-physical therapy and played in 15 games with 12 starts as a key component to the RSU defense that logged eight clean sheets. He is an Honorable Mention All-GAC/MIAA defender.

George Robinson earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor.
A business management major, Robinson played in all 20 games with 10 starts and scored five goals, three of which were game winners, with six assists for 16 points. He is a D2CCA First Team All-Region and First Team All-GAC/MIAA selection.
Matthew Sweetman earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor. The Portsmouth, England native is majoring in sports management and saw action in 19 games with 14 starts while scoring one goal with three assists.
Trindon Turner, a product of Edmond, Okla., earned his first CSC Academic All-District honor. Turner is majoring in business administration and anchored the Hillcat defense that turned in eight shutouts during the season.
College Sports Communicators (CSC) was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200-plus member national organization comprised of the sports public relations, media relations and communications/information professionals throughout all levels of collegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The second oldest management association in all of intercollegiate athletics, CSC became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December of 2008.
