PITTSBURG, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field wrapped up competition at the Gorilla Classic on Saturday.
In the women's mile, Katie Byrd finished 13th with a new school record time of 5:02.32, surpassing the previous best time of 5:03.80 set by Jillian Skalicky earlier this season. This is also the second best time in the MIAA this season. Tori Wood finished 46th with a new personal best time of 5:24.07. Riley Coleman finished 48th with a new personal best time of 5:25.14.
In the women's 3,000 meter, Brianna DeAngelis finished sixth with a new school record of 10:21.42, surpassing the previous best time of 10:28.91 set by Madison Bradshaw earlier this season. This is also the eighth best time in the MIAA this season. Bradshaw finished 17th with a time of 10:37.09.
On the men's side, Jon Biersdorfer finished 37th in the men's 800 meter with a new school record of 1:56.37, surpassing the previous school record of 1:56.67 set by Carlos Vallejo last season.
In the men's mile, Carlos Vallejo finished 37th with a 4:25.27.
In the men's 3,000 meter, Jackson Stinnett finished 20th with a new personal best time of 8:35.63.
