DES MOINES and INDIANOLA, Iowa – Rogers State men's and women's track and field wrapped up competition at the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Invite on Thursday and Friday.

At the Drake Relays in the women's 4x1,600 meter relay, the team of Madison Bradshaw, Tori Wood, Brianna DeAngelis and Katie Byrd finished 10th with a time of 20:42.93.

In the men's 4x800 meter relay, the team of Jon Biersdorfer, Jackson Stinnett, Hunter Hart and Carlos Vallejo finished with a new school record time of 7:55.41 even after Biersdorfer was tripped and fell in the leadoff leg. This time surpasses the previous record of 8:02.89 set earlier this season by Biersdorfer, Collin McHugh, Preston Turner and Vallejo.

At the Kip Janvrin Invite on Thursday in the women's 5,000 meter, Gloria Butts finished 26th with a new outdoor personal best time of 18:11.00. Riley Coleman finished 32nd with a new outdoor personal best time of 18:32.33.

In the men's 5,000 meter, Julius Oheim finished 13th with a new personal best time of 14:56.02. Hunter Hart finished 25th with a new personal best time of 15:05.30. Kory Wilson finished 30th with a new personal best time of 15:09.39.

On Friday in the women's 800 meter, Katie Byrd won her section and finished eighth overall with a time of 2:17.91.

In the women's 5,000 meter, Tori Wood finished in third with a new personal best time of 17:52.60. Brianna DeAngelis finished fourth with a new personal best time of 17:56.91.

In the men's 800 meter, Jon Biersdorfer finished in 31st with a time of 1:57.47. Preston Turner finished 43rd with a time of 1:58.86. Carlos Vallejo finished 46th with a time of 1:59.18.

In the men's 5,000 meter, Jackson Stinnett finished sixth with a time of 15:32.72.

The Hillcats will now turn their attention to the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships beginning on Friday, May 6 in Emporia, Kan. at Francis G. Welch Stadium.
