CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State softball's Andrea Morales was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association First Team All-Central Region selection, both organizations announced on Wednesday.
The 2022 MIAA Pitcher of the Year and MIAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player, Morales holds a 30-3 record in the circle with a 1.01 ERA in 207.2 innings to this point in the season. The senior sits atop most pitching categories in the MIAA including ERA, Opponent Batting Average (.144) and strikeouts (265), as well as ranking second in wins and innings pitched. Last week, Morales helped the Hillcats to their first-ever MIAA Tournament Championship going 4-0 in the tournament, including a 9.0 inning win in the championship game with 11 strikeouts.
RSU continues postseason play on Thursday, May 12 as they host the NCAA Division II Central Regional as the No. 1-seed against No. 8-seed Winona State. First pitch is set for approximately 4:30 p.m.
