LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rogers State Softball Head Coach Andrea Vaughan and staff have been named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Central Region Coaching Staff of the Year, the organization announced on Friday. This is the first such honor for the RSU coaches.

With a record of 54-10, Vaughan along with assistant coaches Malori Moss, Brent Payne, Danelle Day and Steve Scott earned the honor after leading the Hillcats to a banner season. They have guided RSU to its first berth in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship as well as the first NCAA Division II Regional Championship and first MIAA Tournament Championship in program history.

The Hillcats will look to continue their winning ways as they take on Cal. State Dominguez Hills in the winner's bracket game of the NCAA Division II Softball Championship today at 12 p.m. CT.
