CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Head Softball Coach
Andrea Vaughan announced the addition of
Tailee Reding as an assistant coach to round out her staff for the 2022-23 season.
Â
"We are very fortunate to have Tailee back home to help us here at RSU," said Vaughan. "She has been an integral part of the success we have built here. She loves Rogers State and has poured her heart into RSU softball, and I couldn't be more excited for her to continue bringing her winning contributions to this program."
Â
Reding is no stranger to the Hillcats as she wrapped up one of the most successful careers in RSU Softball history in 2022. The Kansas, Okla. native was a driving force that led RSU to their first ever National Championship and first MIAA Tournament Championship as well as the 2018 Heartland Conference Tournament Championship.
Â
"I'm thankful and excited for the opportunity to come back to work in the program that I played for," said Reding. "It makes my heart happy to be back with Hillcat Nation!"
Â
After five years on the Hill as a player, Reding holds the school record for most games played (250), most starts (227), most at-bats (658), and most triples (6). She also ranks in the top 10 in several other career categories including second in hits (171), second in doubles (28), second in walks (99), third in home runs (17), fourth in stolen bases (16) and fourth in RBI (90).
Â
Reding earned her fair share of accolades during her time in the Red and Navy. She was a 2018 Second Team All-Heartland Conference selection and made the 2021 MIAA All-Tournament Team.
Â
She earned her bachelor's degree in sports management from RSU in 2021.
