LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Rogers State Softball senior
Harley Culie has been recognized for her outstanding senior season by being named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region Second Team.
The Peggs, Oklahoma native earned her first All-Region accolade following an impressive season. A two-time All-MIAA selection, Culie led the conference with 233 strikeouts over 213.0 innings pitched. She also ranked first in the MIAA for complete games with 23 and games started with 32, while finishing third in wins with 21. Culie received MIAA Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time in her career after delivering a remarkable 8.0-inning no-hitter—the longest in program history—where she recorded 14 strikeouts, including seven consecutive, in a 3-1 Senior Day victory against rival Northeastern State.
In the postseason, Culie continued to excel, appearing in all six games with five starts and accumulating 32 strikeouts over 35.1 innings. Culie was named to the MIAA All-Tournament Team.
With this recognition, Culie joins NFCA All-Americans Sara Llamas-Howell (2023-24) and Andrea Morales (2018-2022) as the third Hillcat to receive this honor.
ABOUT THE NFCA
Established in 1983, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) is the professional growth organization for fastpitch softball coaches from all competitive levels of play. Although collegiate coaches comprised the majority of the organization's membership in the early days, today they are joined by high school, travel ball, professional and international coaches, along with umpires, clubs, companies and fans of fastpitch softball. Growing from 40 members in 1983 to over 7,000 today, the NFCA boasts members from all 50 states and several international countries.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated their student-athletes and voted for the teams. All the honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2026 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
