TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Rogers State men's soccer (2-2-5, 0-0-3 GAC/MIAA) fought for their third-straight draw in a 1-1 decision against No. 14 Northeastern State (4-1-2, 2-0-1 GAC/MIAA) on the road Saturday.

Trindon Turner got on the score sheet with his first goal of the season.
Declan Viljoen continued his great play in goal with eight saves on 24 shots faced. The Auckland, New Zealand native is currently second in the GAC/MIAA with a .824 saves percentage.

The opening 45 minutes of this game saw the RiverHawks pour on the pressure on RSU on both the offensive and defensive sides. While neither team could find paydirt, NSU outshot the Hillcats 17-2 with five shots on goal compared to just one.

The second half was a different story as both sides tightened up on defense. The shots in the period were more even as the RiverHawks only out shot RSU 7-6. The RiverHawks broke the scoreless tie in the 49th minute as Flynn Semmerling found the back of the net on a penalty kick to put NSU up 1-0.
Trindon Turner would fire in the equalizer on a pass from
Josh Milla in the 66th minute to knot things at 1-1.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Thursday, Sept. 29 as they travel to Searcy, Ark. to face off against Harding. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
