CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field opened the 2023-24 indoor track and field season at the Washburn Alumni Invitational on Saturday.
The highlight of the day came in the women's mile, as RSU won the event taking five of the top six spots.
Brianna DeAngelis-Stinnett won the event with a time of 5:14.05.
Gloria Butts finished second with a new personal best time of 5:14.66.
Ashley Riggenbach finished third with a time of 5:14.76.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in fourth with a time of 5:14.78.
Elena Fries finished in sixth with a time of 5:39.94.
Ryann Barber finished in 12th with a time of 5:55.90.
In the women's 1,000 meter, the Hillcats took three of the top five spots with
Katie Byrd winning the event with a time of 3:01.86.
Jillian Skalicky finished in second with a time of 3:01.99.
Aubree Wille finished in fifth with a time of 3:16.93.
Sara Crosley finished in sixth with a time of 3:17.59.
Faith Tinney finished in seventh with a time of 3:24.20.
In the men's 800 meter,
Clint Stapleton won the event with a time of 2:03.10.
Ian Busking finished in third with a time of 2:09.71.
In the men's mile, the Hillcats took two of the top three spots as
Kyle Woodward finished second with a new personal best time of 4:28.94 and
Cade McCall finished third with a time of 4:31.11.
Nathan Hernandez finished fifth with a time of 4:34.64.
Kyle Ginn finished sixth with a time of 4:36.65.
Carlos Vallejo finished in seventh with a time of 4:39.08.
Blaine Phillippi finished in ninth with a new personal best time of 4:41.43.
Joseph White finished in 14th with a time of 4:55.32.
In the women's 600 yard,
Ann-Marie Dorsey finished third with a time of 1:34.52.
Jocelyn Turney finished in fifth with a time of 1:37.69. Leah Hickock finished in sixth with a time of 1:37.93.
In the men's 600 yard,
Ian Conder finished in 10th with a time of 1:14.06.
Solomon Higgins finished in 13th with a time of 1:16.04.
Aaron Shiever finished in 19th with a time of 1:21.19.
In the women's 800 meter,
Isabel Bush finished in seventh with a time of 2:39.52.
Elizabeth Ostermaier finished in 11th with a time of 2:56.69.
In the men's 1,000 meter,
Jon Biersdorfer finished in fifth with at time of 2:31.95.
Jackson Stinnett finished in ninth with a time of 2:35.51.
Blake Feron finished in 11th with a time of 2:42.12.
Blake Phillippi finished in 13th with a time of 2:53.43.
In the women's 60 meter dash,
Lilli Joseph finished in 32nd with a time of 8.43 seconds.
The Hillcats return to action on Saturday, Dec. 9 as they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. to compete in the Crimson & Gold Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State.
