KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four Rogers State men's soccer student-athletes have been named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American list, the organization announced.
Declan Viljoen, Sebastian Hernandez, Grant King and Marcos Vasallo were named First Team Scholar All-Americans for their work on the field and in the classroom.Â
A native of Auckland, New Zealand, Viljoen completed his junior campaign ranked second in the league with a .782 save percentage and a 1.16 goals against average while earning three clean sheets. He is pursuing his degree in applied technology.
Hernandez anchored an RSU defense that earned seven shutouts and is working towards his degree in pre-physical therapy. The Broken Arrow, Okla. product also scored once and earned three assists for five points.
The fifth-year senior captain, King earned an assist from the midfield after starting in all 18 matches during the regular season. The Tulsa, Okla. native is pursuing his degree in business management.
Vasallo finished his junior campaign leading the Hillcats and tying the league lead with 12 goals along with four assists for 28 points. The Madrid, Spain native also ranked second in the league after scoring four game winning goals and is working towards his degree in business management.
