Bailey Kliewer and
Jordan Lewis were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams, representing Rogers State men's and women's basketball.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐March.
To be nominated for the award, student-athletes must be a starter or an important reserve, hold a GPA of at least 3.50 after completing one full calendar year at their current institution. Student-athletes must also have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's games during the season.
A product of Bladensburg, Md., Devonish-Prince Jr. earned his first Academic All-District honor. Majoring in sports administration, is averaging 9.3 points in 26 games with 19 starts. The senior has scored a total 243 points with 53 rebounds, a team-high 89 assists, 25 steals and a block.
Kliewer, a native of Harrisonville, Mo., earned her first Academic All-District honor. She leads the Hillcats with an average of 12.0 points, starting in all 26 games so far this season. She has scored 311 points this season, 154 rebounds, 28 assists, 29 steals and eight blocks.
A product of Detroit, Mich., Lewis also earned her first Academic All-District honor. The senior is averaging 9.0 points in 18 games with 12 starts. She has put up 162 points with 56 rebounds, 14 assists, 15 steals and four blocks.
College Sports Communicators (CSC) was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200-plus member national organization comprised of the sports public relations, media relations and communications/information professionals throughout all levels of collegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The second oldest management association in all of intercollegiate athletics, CSC became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December of 2008.
