CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State Athletics is proud to be hosting multiple exciting events this weekend at the Diamond Sports Complex around the baseball and softball home series.

Beginning on Thursday, April 6 Hillcat baseball will open up a three-game series with MIAA opponent Pittsburg State with first pitch set for 2 p.m. RSU is coming off a series win over Emporia State on the road with
Nate Wohlgemuth earning MIAA Pitcher of the Week honors for his performance in game one of that series.

On Friday, April 7 in addition to game two of the baseball series against PSU beginning at 2 p.m., No. 8 Hillcat Softball will kick off a four-game homestand with a doubleheader against Missouri Western with a first pitch at 3 p.m. RSU is coming off a 4-0 weekend that saw them take series sweeps from both Lincoln and Central Missouri on the road.

The weekend is capped off on Saturday, April 8 with multiple events beginning with RSU Softball celebrating Indigenous People's Day during their doubleheader against Northwest Missouri beginning at 12 p.m. As part of the festivities, people with their tribal IDÂ will receive a 50% discount on tickets with a tribal ID and free t-shirts will be given out to the first 300 fans in attendance. This is also the perfect opportunity to wear your ribbon skirt and vest since April is National Ribbon Skirt Month.

Also on Saturday, Rogers State's President's Leadership Class is partnering with RSU Athletics to host a Tailgate At The Ballpark. With the gates opening at 11 a.m., the event will feature festivities for the whole family including cornhole, face painting, connect four, a coloring station, among other things.

Hillcat Baseball will also face off against Pittsburg State in the series finale with first pitch set for 2 p.m.

Due to limited parking at the Diamond Sports Complex, overflow parking will be provided in the UV-C Parking Lot on campus with a free shuttle transporting people back and forth to the complex.
