Sixty Four Hillcats Earn D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards

CLEVELAND – Sixty four Rogers State University student-athletes have earned Division II Athletic Director Association Academic Achievement Awards, the organization announced on Wednesday.
 
Women's cross country and track and field led the way with 12 honorees. Men's soccer was next with 11 honorees, followed by men's cross country and track and field with 10. Women's soccer had eight honorees with softball placing eight on the list. Both baseball and women's golf had five honorees. Men's golf (3), women's basketball (2) and men's basketball (1) rounded out the list of honorees.
 
Since the inception of the award's program in 2007-08, there have been a total of 147,622 student-athlete nominees recognized for their academic achievements at the Division II level. In order for a student-athlete to receive an Academic Achievement Award, the athletics director of the Division II institution MUST BE a CURRENT dues-paying member of the D2 ADA. A student-athlete must also have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work and been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
