KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rogers State men's soccer held strong at No. 13 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
 
RSU remains the highest ranked GAC/MIAA team in the poll ahead of No. 22 Northeastern State and Southern Nazarene, who received votes.
 
Last week, the Hillcats went 1-1 with two Top 15 matchups on the road against then-No. 4 CSU Pueblo and then-No. 14 UC Colorado Springs. Against the Thunderwolves on Thursday, RSU struck early as Trindon Turner gave the Hillcats an early 1-0 lead in the 13th minute until the Pack equalized in the 25th minute and took a 3-1 decision in the second half. In the 2-1 win over the Cougars, Ruben Carrasco put RSU up 1-0 in the 2nd minute of the match with UCCS tying things in the 34th minute. Hugo Martin would go on to score the game winner in the 74th minute.
 
The Hillcats return home on Thursday, Sept. 21 as they begin GAC/MIAA play and welcome defending conference champion Southern Nazarene into the friendly confines of Soldier Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
