PITTSBURG, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's cross country wrapped up the first day of competition at the Ninth Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic on Friday.
In the women's 60 meter dash,
Lilli Joseph finished in 52nd with a personal best time of 8.27 seconds, improving 0.7 seconds from her previous best of 8.34.
In the men's distance medley relay, the team of
Jon Biersdorfer,
Carlos Vallejo,
Ian Conder and
Jackson Stinnett combined to finish 12th with a time of 10:12.52, missing the school record of 10:12.51 by 0.01 seconds.
In the men's 600 yard,
Solomon Higgins finished in 15th with a time of 14:53, just missing his personal best time of 1:14.51 by 0.02 seconds.
In the women's 600 yard,
Ann-Marie Dorsey finished in 18th with a time of 1:34.76, missing her personal best time of 1:34.52 by 0.24 seconds.
In the men's 5,000 meter,
Kyle Ginn finished in 44th with a time of 15:37.48.
Kyle Woodward finished close behind in 45th with a new season best time of 15:39.71, beating his previous best of 15:43.26 earlier this year by 3.95 seconds.
Cade McCall finished in 51st with a time of 15:56.86.
In the women's 5,000 meter,
Brianna DeAngelis-Stinnett finished in fourth place with a time of 17:45.18.
Gloria Butts finished in fifth with a time of 17:49.15.
Ashley Riggenbach finished in 17th with a time of 18:25.67.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in 22nd with a time of 18:34.93.
Elena Fries finished in 23rd with a time of 18:35.39.
The Hillcats will be back in action with the final day of the meet tomorrow. The first event, the men's 3,000 meter, is set to begin at 11 a.m.
