CONWAY, Ark. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field started the outdoor portion of the schedule with a bang as they racked up 15 top 5 finished at the Hendrix Alumni Invitational on Saturday.

The highlight of the day came in the men's 4x400 meter relay, as the team of
Solomon Higgins,
Jon Biersdorfer,
Ian Conder and
Carlos Vallejo combined to win the event with a time of 3:21.94. The team of
Blake Feron,
Nathaneal Gibson,
Malik Bridgeman and
Jackson Stinnett combined to finish in fifth with a time of 3:35.89. The team of
Aaron Shiever,
Clint Stapleton,
Kyle Ginn and
Colton Storm combined to finish in eighth with a time of 3:44.36.
In the women's 800 meter,
Jillian Skalicky won the event with a time 2:17.60.
Brianna DeAngelis-Stinnett finished in third with a new personal best time of 2:22.90, 3.94 seconds faster than her previous best.
Gloria Butts finished in fifth with a new personal best of 2:23.49, blowing away her previous best by 29.96 seconds.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in seventh with a time of 2:24.39.
Elizabeth Ostermaier finished in 23rd with a time of 2:47.04.

Carlos Vallejo finished in third with a time of 1:58.17.
Jackson Stinnett finished in fourth with a time of 1:58.63.
Solomon Higgins finished in fifth with a time of 1:58.98.

Ian Conder finished in second with a new personal best time of 4:01.65, 6.98 seconds faster than his previous best.
Jon Biersdorfer finished right behind him in third with a time of 4:01.75, just missing his personal best by .45 seconds.
Kyle Woodward finished in sixth with a new personal best of 4:06.10, 1.28 seconds faster than his previous best.
Nathaneal Gibson finished in ninth with a time of 4:08.22.
Kyle Ginn finished in 11th with a new personal best time of 4:12.31, 5.20 seconds faster than his previous best.
Nathan Hernandez finished in 14th with a new personal best time of 4:16.11, 4.59 seconds faster than his previous best.
Colton Storm finished in 16th with a new personal best time of 4:18.14, 6.76 seconds faster than his previous best.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Friday, March 15 as they return to Conway, Ark. to compete in the Richard Martin Jr. Invitational, hosted by Central Arkansas at the Richard Martin Jr. Track.
