TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Rogers State baseball (18-16, 9-13 MIAA) could not withstand a late inning comeback from Northeastern State (19-18, 10-12 MIAA) to fall 3-2 on Saturday.
 
The Hillcats jumped on the board early with a 2-0 lead in the first inning. After 
Matthew Schure led off the game with a single to right center, 
AJ Folds belted a 1-0 pitch over the left centerfield wall for a two run bomb.
 
The RiverHawks got a run back in the fourth to trim the deficit to 2-1. A single through the right side of the infield brought in the run from third.
 
After a scoreless three innings, NSU completed the comeback with two runs in the eighth to claim the 3-2 win. A single to right and a sacrifice fly to left plated the runs.
 
Drake Sisemore (2-0) earned the win. 
Landon Riley (2-1) took the loss.
 
RSU will look to salvage a game in the series finale tomorrow as they return to Claremore. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
