Derek Larkin announced his team's 2024 schedule on Wednesday.
After making their fourth appearances in five seasons in the GAC/MIAA Tournament Championship last year, The Hillcats will take on a slate that features 20 regular season contests with nine home matches, seven road matches and two neutral site matches in 2024. The schedule includes games against six teams that made the NCAA Division II Tournament last season.
RSU will unofficially get the season started with three exhibition games beginning with a trip down the road to Division I Oral Roberts on Aug. 17. They will return home for the final two matches against Oklahoma Wesleyan (Aug. 22) and Southwestern Christian (Aug. 28).
The 2024 campaign officially gets underway on Sept. 5 as they travel to St. Louis, Mo. to face off against Maryville, who finished last season with an appearance in the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals. Other non-conference matchups include home games against McKendree (Sept. 7), Midwestern State (Sept. 12) and Oklahoma Christian (Sept. 14) as well as neutral site games against CSU Pueblo (Sept. 19) and UC Colorado Springs (Sept. 21) that will be played in Oklahoma City, Okla.
The Hillcats open GAC/MIAA play at home on Sept. 26 against Ouachita Baptist. Other home dates include visits from Harding (Sept. 28), Northeastern State (Oct. 17), Southern Nazarene (Oct. 23), Newman (Oct. 31) and Fort Hays State (Nov. 2).
They kickoff the league road slate with a trip to Hays, Kan. on Oct. 3 as they face off against Fort Hays State. Other road trips include stops at Newman (Oct. 5), Southern Nazarene (Oct. 12), Harding (Oct. 19), Northeastern State (Nov. 7) and Ouachita Baptist (Nov. 9).
The GAC/MIAA Tournament is set for Nov. 15-17.
