KEARNEY, Neb. – Rogers State women's golf wrapped up play at the UNK Fall Conference Preview on Tuesday.
Â
"I am proud of our ladies and their fight this week in Nebraska at the UNK Fall Conference Preview," said Head Coach
Whitney Hocutt. "The course and weather were perfect. I am glad we moved up a couple of spots after the second round today. Lydia led the way with a bogey-free round and Bri shooting even for round one helped us."
Â
After 36 holes at the Par 71 Meadowlark Hills Golf Club, the Hillcats finished in a tie for second place with a card of 600 (+32).
Â
"Honestly, we did not play our game at times, and we had some holes on the course that cost us shots," continued Hocutt. "We are looking forward to coming back here to compete for the MIAA Conference Championship in April. As a team, we will regroup and bounce back with a great week off and work on some aspects of our game - physically and mentally. We will be ready for the Central Regional Preview at Kickingbird Golf Club."
Â
Lydia Sitorus led RSU in fourth place after shooting 145 (+3) over the two rounds. The senior had a fantastic final round as she put together a bogey-free 69 (-2) with two birdies.
Â
Brianna Maddux and
Milena Andres finished in a group of eight tied at 16th with cards of 151 (+9).
Kristin Gudmundsdottir finished in a three-way tie for 31st with a 153 (+11).
