PITTSBURG, Kan. - Rogers State men's and women's track and field competed at the Rumble in the Jungle, hosted by Pittsburg State, on Friday and saw three school records and a meet record fall.

"We had some really strong performances today," said Head Coach
Matt Kennedy. "Cadence, Ian and Nathanael all broke the school record in their respective events and Isaac broke a meet record as well. We also had several people set new personal bests and season best times."

In the men's 600 yard,
Isaac Conder won the event by breaking the meet record with a time of 1:11.98, which is 0.92 seconds faster than the previous record set by Pittsburg State's Caden Williams in 2024 and a full 11 seconds better than Conder's previous personal best.
Solomon Higgins finished seventh with a new personal best time of 1:14.13, which is 0.38 seconds faster than his previous best.

In the women's 600 yard,
Ann-Marie Dorsey finished in 6th with a new personal best time of 1:28.71, surpassing her previous best by 0.97 seconds.
Kenzie Gilliam finished in 11th and set a personal best time of 1:32.09 as a freshman.

In the men's 800 meter,
Ian Conder finished in sixth and broke his own school record with a time of 1:52.86, which is 0.92 seconds better than his previous mark.
DeShawn Crowe finished in 14th with a time of 1:56.57.

In the women's 800 meter,
Leyla Saldana finished in 29th with a time of 2:31.87.
Ryann Barber finished in 31st setting a personal best time of 3:37.44.
Isabel Bush finished in 34th with a time of 2:38.27.

In the men's mile, Nathanael Gibson finished fifth and broke the school record of 4:16.17, which is 2.63 faster than the previous record set by
Blake Feron in 2023.
Clint Stapleton finished in 12th with a new personal best time of 4:22.77, 4.99 seconds faster than his previous best.
Malik Bridgeman finished in 34th with a time of 4:32.88.
Casey Little finished in 46th with a time of 4:39.09.

In the women's mile,
Sisely Mitchell finished in seventh with a new personal best time of 5:11.33, which is 3.60 seconds faster than her previous best mark.
Riley Coleman finished in 11th with a new personal best time of 5:19.53, which improved her best time by 1.98 seconds.
Emily Cruz finished in 14th setting a personal best time of 5:22.75 as a freshman.
Brooklyn Garafola finished in 16th setting a personal best time of 5:23.22 as a freshman.
Jillian Skalicky finished in 25th with a season-best time of 5:29.18.
Tehya Lang finished in 30th and set a personal best time of 5:32.03 as a freshman.
Elena Fries finished in 32nd with a time of 5:33.19.

In the women's 3,000 meter, Candence Cordova finished in third and broke the school record with a time of 9:59.73, which is 8.94 seconds faster than
Brianna DeAngelis-Stinnett's record set in 2024.
Jordan Wallace finished in sixth setting a personal best time of 10:18.03 as a freshman.
Katie Byrd finished in seventh with a time of 10:18.80.
Ashley Riggenbach finished in ninth with a new personal best time of 10:21.53, which is a whopping 19 seconds faster than her previous best.
Kaylee Nay finished in 10th setting a personal best time of 10:23.38 as a freshman.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in 13th with a time of 10:30.88.
Kiera Blumhof finished in 24th with a new personal best time of 10:53.41, surpassing her previous best by 6.42 seconds.

Julius Oheim finished in 18th with a time of 8:57.87.
Blake Feron finished in 19th with a time of 8:58.03.

The Hillcats return to action on Saturday, Feb. 1 as they return to Pittsburg, Kan. to compete in the Pittsburg State Invitational.
