Women’s Cross Country Moves Up to 18th in USTFCCCA National Poll

Hillcats jump 12 spots following a successful MIAA Championship

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its sixth NCAA Division II women's cross country poll, and Rogers State maintained its status for the 14th consecutive week, ranked 18th with 106 points.
 
RSU made a massive move from 30th last week after a successful conference meet, where they finished runner-up for the second straight season. Amy Morefield finished in fourth place, while Kaylee Nay took 10th, both receiving All-MIAA First Team honors. Furthermore, Brooklyn Garafola (11th), Emily Cruz (15th) and Jordan Wallace (16th) were recognized with All-MIAA Honorable Mention.

In the central region, Winona State is ranked 14th, followed by Pittsburg State at 17th and Nebraska-Kearney at 19th. Minnesota State holds the 25th position, while Northwest Missouri State is ranked 28th and Missouri Southern comes in at 30th.
 
Colorado Mines anchors the top spot with 237 points, followed closely by Grand Valley State with 235 points, UC-Colorado Springs with 220 points, West Texas A&M with 216 points and Cedarville with 204 points. The Hillcats are set to participate in the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin on November 8. The women's race is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., with the men's race following at 11 a.m.
