CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the NCAA Central Region Championships in Joplin, while both soccer teams are concluding their regular seasons.

RUNNING AT REGIONALS
The Rogers State cross country teams will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship on Saturday at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Missouri.
The No. 18 women's team will kick off the competition at 10 a.m. Representing the Hillcats are Cadence Cordova, Emily Cruz, Brooklyn Garafola, Brooke Martin, Sisely Mitchell, Amy Morefield, Kaylee Nay and Jordan Wallace. The team recently finished second at the MIAA Championships on Oct. 25, with Morefield placing fourth and Nay 10th, both earning All-MIAA First Team honors. Garafola (11th), Cruz (15th) and Wallace (16th) received All-MIAA Honorable Mention.
The men's team will begin its competition at 11:15 a.m. Lee Davis, Blake Feron, Nathaneal Gibson, Tanner Jenks, Cade McCall, Cohen McIntosh, Jack Morgan and Clint Stapleton will represent the Hillcats. RSU improved its position at the MIAA Championship in Pittsburg two weeks ago, finishing eighth after placing ninth in 2024. Gibson earned his second All-MIAA selection with a 13th-place finish, while McCall (40th), McIntosh (46th) and Feron (50th) secured top 50 placements.

READY FOR THE RIVERHAWKS
The RSU women's soccer team will conclude its 2025 season Wednesday at 7 p.m. against the Northeastern State RiverHawks (10-6-1, 5-5-1 MIAA) at DeLoache Field in Tahlequah.
The Hillcats are coming off a 0-1-1 week against Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State on the road. Kenzie Macklin scored a goal against the Tigers off an assisted volley from Brooke Hartshorn and Te Waiariki Read in the 88th minute.
Wednesday's match marks the 11th all-time meeting between these in-state rivals, with NSU holding a slim 4-3-3 advantage. Last season, the RiverHawks claimed a 1-0 victory at Soldier Field. The last matchup in Tahlequah was in 2023, when the Hillcats secured a 3-0 win, featuring two goals from Amaris Jasso and one from Delana King.

REGULAR SEASON WRAP-UP AGAINST NSU AND HU
The No. 18 men's soccer team will wrap up the regular season Thursday and Saturday against Northeastern State (8-6-2, 5-5 GAC/MIAA) and Harding (2-12-2, 0-9-1 GAC/MIAA).
Action begins against the RiverHawks from DeLoache Field at 7 p.m. Earlier this season, the Hillcats claimed a 1-0 win over NSU in Claremore, with Sam Ryder scoring his first goal of the season in the 41st minute. RSU holds a 10-4-3 record against NSU, winning four of the last five meetings in Tahlequah.
The week will conclude with the regular season finale at Soldier Field against Harding at 1 p.m., featuring senior day festivities before kickoff. RSU defeated Harding 5-0 in Searcy, Arkansas, on Sept. 25, and holds a 9-2-2 all-time advantage over the Bison.
Last time out, Brandon O'Rourke, Noah Preston-Watkins, Ashton Medina, and Oliver Hemlin scored in a victory over Southern Nazarene, securing RSU's spot in the GAC/MIAA Tournament. Additionally, goalkeeper Jaxon Kendall recorded his eighth shutout of the season with five total saves.
