PITTSBURG, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field wrapped up competition at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Saturday.

The highlight of the day came in the men's 600 yard as
Phillip Owens won the event breaking his own school record with a time of 1:11.58, which is 0.25 seconds faster than his previous record set earlier this season.

In the women's 600 yard,
Savanna Wainscott finished in fifth with a time of 1:32.35.

In the women's Distance Medley Relay, the team of
Sisely Mitchell,
Kenzie Gilliam,
Katie Byrd and
Cadence Cordova combined to finish seconds with a time of 12:05.61, which would have been good enough for the meet record had Pittsburg State's team not finished in 11:55.76 to claim the record.

In the men's Distance Medley Relay, the team of
DeShawn Crowe, Owens,
Ian Conder and
Clint Stapleton combined to finish with a time of 10:23.64.

In the men's 800 meter,
Isaac Conder finished in third with a new personal best time of 1:52.93, just 0.07 seconds off his brother, Ian's, school record and 0.06 seconds faster than his previous indoor best.
Solomon Higgins finished in 12th with a new indoor personal best time of 1:55.90, 1.93 seconds faster than his previous indoor best.

In the women's 800 meter,
Kaylee Nay finished in 10th with a new personal best time of 2:22.93, which improved her best mark by 0.96 seconds.
Kenzie Gilliam finished in 11th setting a personal best time of 2:23.61 as a freshman.

In the women's 60 meter dash,
Lilli Joseph finished in 34th with a time of 8.42 seconds.

In the women's 3,000 meter,
Jordan Wallace finished in sixth with a new personal best time of 10:17.84, which is 0.92 seconds faster than her previous best.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in eighth with a season-best time of 10:26.06, 4.82 seconds faster than her previous best.
Riley Coleman finished in 13th with a time of 10:47.47.

In the women's 5,000 meter,
Ashley Riggenbach finished third with a time of 18:00.41.

In the men's 5,000 meter,
Kyle Ginn finished sixth with a new personal best time of 15:07.41, which is 2.97 seconds faster than his previous mark.
Cade McCall finished in 10th with a time of 15:25.65.
Nathaneal Gibson finished in 16th setting an indoor personal best time of 15:34.39.

The Hillcats are back in action on Friday, Feb. 7 as they travel to Maryville, Mo. to compete in the Bearcat Invite, hosted by Northwest Missouri.
