TOPEKA, Kan. - Rogers State men's basketball (20-9, 11-6 MIAA) dropped the regular season road finale 90-60 to No. 4 Washburn (24-2, 15-2 MIAA) on Saturday.

Anthony Marshall Jr. led RSU with 15 points to go along with three assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Jabryn Anderson put up 11 points with four rebounds and an assist.
Andrew Mason added 10 points and an assist.
Caden Fry finished a point shy of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Ichabods wasted no time getting out to a fast start on a 13-2 run to open the game. However, the Hillcats didn't flinch as they found their footing and answered with a 10-0 run of their own to get back within one point at 13-12. Washburn responded with another big swing, going on a 9-0 run to push back out to a 22-12 advantage midway through the half. Despite RSU continuing to fight, the Ichabods managed to take their largest lead of the period at 42-27 and carried a 44-30 margin into the break.

WU opened the second half on another hot streak as they went up 49-33 in the first 90 seconds of the period. However, RSU refused to go down and kept battling, trimming the deficit all the way down to five points at 55-50 with 13:19 left. Unfortunately, the Ichadbods took the game over from there, building out a 20-point lead at 74-54 with just over six minutes remaining. They eventually claimed the 90-60 win.

The Hillcats return to Claremore Expo Center on Wednesday, Feb. 26 as they begin the final homestand of the regular season against archrival Northeastern State. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
